We no longer design for the ideal; we design for the real, with strength and softness, sensuality and support (elegance, attention to detail, emotional experience)
Lingerie is not about hiding.
It’s about being.
Lingerie is, above all, a maker’s world. It is intimate in every sense: born from the hand, shaped by intuition, crafted stitch by stitch in conversation with the body. My vision for tomorrow’s bodyfashion lies in this sacred relationship: between designer and muse, fabric and skin, vision and vulnerability.
I believe true luxury is intimate.
It’s not defined by fabrics alone, but by the way a piece makes you feel - empowered, sensual, unexpectedly seen. KVLS exists to celebrate that feeling, with limited-edition creations that embrace modern femininity and the strength behind softness.
My work is a tribute to women who want more than beauty. They want presence. They want power. They want to express their femininity not for others, but for themselves.
About me
Kati – the person behind the design
I was born and raised in Romania, surrounded by art and nature, and from a young age I felt
the pull of creativity and storytelling through visual forms. My path led me from fine arts
studies to fashion design, where I discovered my passion for lingerie—the intimate art form
that speaks to a woman’s confidence and sensuality. Over the years, my designs have been
recognized and awarded internationally: Ultra Lingerie Fashion Show “Award for
Adventurous Use of Materials” for the most spectacular work with fabric, the “Ultra
Gourmandise Award” and “Lingerie Industry Prize” for a garment full of movement and
surprises at the Salon International de la Lingerie, Paris, while working for brands such as
Jolidon and Prelude. Yet every piece I create remains deeply personal, inspired by real
emotions, moments, and the desire to celebrate women as they are.
Many of my designs have been showcased at prestigious catwalks and professional fairs
from Paris to Moscow and the US, on live TV shows such as Deutschland sucht den
Superstar streamed by RTL DE, and worn by TV personalities like Victoria Swarovski on the
German casting show Das Supertalent. In 2019, I was handpicked as one of the Change
Makers of the new lingerie era and featured in the “Nouvelle Vague” forum at Interfilière
Paris, which showcased the next generation of garment designers.
At heart, I am a mother of two daughters, a lover of quiet countryside mornings, and a
seeker of beauty in the smallest details. These experiences - family, stillness, and the
richness of life - inform every stitch I make. KVLS is not just my work; it is the living
expression of my life, my values, and my belief in the transformative power of elegance,
intimacy, and authenticity.
